Yoga found me at a challenging time in life – my husband and I were new parents who had moved to a foreign country with no friends or relatives. I was fortunate to live close to the YMCA where I took my first yoga class, and I was hooked. I realized that yoga really worked for me, and I wanted to share it with others. I studied with Valerie Kit Love, O.T, E-RYT 500, and in 2005 became a RYT-200; received 500-hour certification from Namah Shivaya Yoga with Tej Monga, E-RYT500, in Dallas in 2015. After numerous workshops and hundreds of hours teaching adults and children, I still enjoy the practice and learning something new every time I get on my mat. Today it helps me to stay grounded and manage my hectic life. I know yoga can help you too! I love meeting new people, share the magic of yoga, help others find their style and their practice. I have been married to my college sweetheart Yury for twenty two years, and we have three children. Edmond is my home now, and so is You Power Yoga.
